Maxwell School - Executive MPA Online Admissions Webinar

Join us for an admissions webinar aimed at prospective and admitted students who are interested in learning more about the Executive MPA program here at The Maxwell School of Syracuse University.  We will be joined by two recent alumni of our online program who will discuss what brought them to Maxwell and how the program has helped them meet their academic and professional goals:

• Deidra Jackson (G’23) – Senior Advisor and Managing Partner, providing public policy and communications expertise to clients navigating work at the federal, state and local levels.  Deidra’s passion for good governance and commitment to address inequities drove her to pursue the MPA program at Maxwell.  Not only did she equip herself with the knowledge, skills and the ethical foundation to make an impact in this space, but also the drive to contribute positively to a better society for fall. 
• Rick McVinney (G’24) – Senior researcher for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (NSCOM).  Rick’s desire to serve the public good through elected office following a career in the military led him to Maxwell.  Since beginning the program in January 2020, Rick endured even through the pandemic, the loss of several family members, welcoming the birth of two children, shifting careers, and getting promoted.  His endurance is not only a testament to the flexibility of the program, but also to the value of the degree.
